Hold’em Poker is on fire! There's no stopping it. It's burning faster than a Californian forest after a summer lightning storm. It's shining brighter than the most illuminated star in the night sky. Hold’em Poker is burning like a spaceship during blastoff, with intensity!

Basic Texas Holdem rules Holdem Poker is a community-card game. Two private unseen cards are dealt to each player and the first betting round begins. Then three cards (called the flop) are dealt in the middle of the table for all players to use. Another round of betting ensues before a fourth community-card is dealt in the middle of table. After more bets, one more community-card is dealt for a total of 5 community-cards. The object is to construct the best 5-card poker hand using the total 7 cards available. The winner is determined by whoever has the best hand or if everyone else folded on an uncalled bet.

It should be noted that the preceding rules were for Texas Holdem, not Omaha or Pineapple Holdem. To learn the rules of other Holdem games do an Internet search.

Tips and Strategies of Holdem Poker A good Texas Hold em strategy will come to a player when they practice. Only by trial and error will a player be able to apply a strategy that works for them. The following tips are from professionals, but in the end, take them or leave them and remember a player's poker destiny is in their own hands.

When playing Holdem it's never a good idea to check two times in a row, especially when in a head to head showdown. Checking two times in a row is a sure give away that the player has no hand. Even if a player has nothing they should at least make a bet, in which case if the opposing player has nothing they will likely fold.

If playing in a tournament, be conservative at first. Only play really good hands. Let some of the other competition bang heads for a little. The longer a player can last in a tournament the better chance they have of getting a piece of the pie, whether small or big.
